That wording is PERFECT. I view parenthood (and even couplehood) as vocational, rather than something that should be expected of every “normal” person, and the Church very much indicates in both word and action that parenthood is the norm and the expectation. There’s nothing wrong with nuclear families, but the impression is that anything that doesn’t fit into that mold is indeed a leftover that has no valid place. It also does some real harm in terms of keeping certain misogynistic gender roles in place, which causes additional harm for people who don’t identify with those roles or even those genders in the first place.
