					<description><![CDATA[I absolutely agree with every single word of this, particularly the notion that the Church has fetishized the nuclear family! That wording is PERFECT. I view parenthood (and even couplehood) as vocational, rather than something that should be expected of every &quot;normal&quot; person, and the Church very much indicates in both word and action that parenthood is the norm and the expectation. There&#039;s nothing wrong with nuclear families, but the impression is that anything that doesn&#039;t fit into that mold is indeed a leftover that has no valid place. It also does some real harm in terms of keeping certain misogynistic gender roles in place, which causes additional harm for people who don&#039;t identify with those roles or even those genders in the first place.
