					<description><![CDATA[Thank you for this story. I feel our adversarial system does little to heal or change either the victim or the perpetrator. When I was serious injured in a car accident a long time ago, there was no opportunity for an apology which would have gone a long way to helping me let go of the events. These events have had a physical aftermath that will never heal but a facetoface conversation would have helped. I received a pitifully small check and that was that. It seems to me that a healing circle is a far better and more holistic approach.]]></description>

I sat on this committee when it was held inthe old  CNR station on Higgins. It was great to see the parents of the offender in this circle along with other members of the Justice dept  + RCMP officers + an Aboriginal Elder
Together review the demeanour that req’d justice to sort a a positive solution towards recovery of a meaningful life for the offender, the family and the departments who were
