Thanks for this reflection which addresses some of my own thinking. I have attended two evening services, but due to my Mennonite approach to oath and communion, have chosen not to take part in the Eucharist. Am I right to think that you are attempting a kind of synthesis between F D Maurice’s communion and that of the Tractarians, – the Cambridge Apostles and the Oxford movement- , which would have been typical of thinking in post Napoleonic Upper Canada?
