Your band of pilgrims might be interested to know that there is a national organization called the Canadian Company of Pilgrims (website: http://www.santiago.ca) which supports pilgrims walking to Santiago and the Camino as well.
The Winnipeg chapter has many seasoned pilgrims and offers support to first-time pilgrims as well as those who have already made the pilgrimage. We meet every month and hold meetings twice a year, in March and November. We are open to all, and any members of your congregation who are interested are most welcome to join us at any of our events.
