20th Anniversary Urban Retreats Garden Tour: Volunteers Needed

The 20th Anniversary Urban Retreats Garden Tour, Tea and Craft Sale will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2019. Organizers are currently looking for volunteers. Available positions are below:
Garden Hosts: 4 garden hosts for each of the 14 gardens (28 morning hosts 9:45-1:00 and 28 afternoon hosts 12:45 to 4:00). It is always more difficult to fill the afternoon shift. Paired at each garden, the hosts fill the reception function: greet visitors, check tickets, answer questions but gardening knowledge not required. Hosts sit.
Plant Set Up and Sale: 2 volunteers to assist at each shift (9:00-10:30, 10:30-12:30, 12:30-2:30). An active job, moving pots of plants. Some knowledge of plants is an asset but not required.
Tea Ticket Sales: 2 volunteers to assist at each shift (10:30-12:00 and 12:00-2:00). Paired sellers greet customers, sell tickets and distribute door prize tickets and gift bags. Sellers sit at a table. This can be a busy position at times.
Tour Ticket Sales: 1 volunteer to assist at each shift (9:30-12:30 and 12:30-3:30). Paired sellers greet customers, sell tickets and answer questions. Sellers sit at a table. This can be a busy position at times.
Crafter set up and take down: 2 strong, able bodied volunteers to assist at each shift helping crafters move their wares in and out of the venue (9:00-10:30 and 2:00-3:00).
Morning volunteers are invited for a light breakfast and orientation at 9:00 am at Westworth United Church and afternoon volunteers receive complimentary Bannock and Tea.
Please RSVP by May 21 to [email protected] indicating which volunteer opportunity you wish to fill, your preferred time slot (or either if flexible), and the name of the person you wish to be partnered with, if applicable.
