Rupert’s Land News is back from our summer break!
This September’s issue is centred around the theme of A New Climate.
In this month’s issue, Hannah Foulger offers her final contribution to her remarkable term as RLN Reporter at Large by exploring issues of food security. Hannah looks at food security ministries in the Diocese of Rupert’s Land, speaking with Cathy Campbell about her work with The Primate’s World Relief and Development Fund, and considering what “abundant life for all” might mean for food relief efforts.
Next, Wilson Akinwale, Chris Salstrom, and Matt Koovisk reflect on their recent experiences of ordination, and their various encounters of grace through this rite.
Andrew Rampton writes about visioning a Downtown Green Corridor, and explains Holy Trinity’s community project/proposal to develop public green spaces in downtown Winnipeg.
Finally, interviews with June James and Matt Terlinski explore experiences of synod delegates and reflect on the value of participation in Synod.
This month also marks the introduction of myself as editor of RLN. I will be taking up the excellent work of RLN’s previous editor, Sara Krahn, who will be missed!
